Sullivan Against a Football Regulator
Ridiculous stance. This could be the only thing Sunak gets right.

Sullivan isn't often right but he is on this one.

The most incompetent government in my lifetime appoints itself to control one of the UK's most successful businesses.

Then they make football supporters pay for it! It's bloody outrageous!

Re: Sullivan Against a Football Regulator
Unless Kretinsky's very first words after birth were "Putin's a CUNT!" - and not the more traditional "Mama" or "Papa" - he will 100% fail the government instigated "Fit & Proper" test.

Re: Sullivan Against a Football Regulator
Oh and another thing - Kretinsky failing fit and proper test ffs

That will be the internationally successful businessman who already holds significant stock in the Royal Mail and Sainsburys
So yeah, a collection of 200 Arthurs/Marthas/Celts/Know fuck alls and liberals of various hue will have him inappropriate
As it go, they may just all considered

Absolutely stupid idea

In a way deliciously ironic if he’s scuppered his own little get rich scheme by meddling in the football side of things too much, say some k his hands over Moyes because he wanted to leave it to Kretinsky and gets us relegated thus costing him an arm and a leg because Kretinsky says thanks but no thanks, but of course it’s us who will end up suffering for it.

I’m liking DS a little bit, he is so spot on with this govt eh!

Agreed. There seems to be an answer to everything that is gives some jobs to the boys and get the hard working cunts pay for it.

I wouldn't even trust them with running the bath. Bound to end up with a water shortage .

Hang on a minute
There’s plenty to hang on the bloke but he’s not wrong here

He was contacted for comment by Shyster White, so what’s he supposed to say?

Are those casting aspersions aware that this regulatory body will consist of 200 individuals?
Can you imagine the composition of that ffs? And who is paying for it?

Moreover, the EPL is singularly the most professional and successful on the planet, it provides pro rata more to lower leagues and grass roots than any other too

On what basis is it equitable to financially penalise success and hand advantage to foreign competitors

If ever there was something to drive a Euro Super League this is it, since when have a government and its civil servants proven capable of running anything beyond a bath?

And finally, can you imagine the noise from the likes of Emma fucking Haynes and the lezzer crew as they clammer to get their snouts in the trough

How did the government fuck up the West Ham side of the contract to lease the Olympic Stadium?

Re: Sullivan Against a Football Regulator
Does this mean he can’t sell us onto worse owners so he can have the last laugh if he did sell? Like what happened at Birmingham.

Also does it mean he will come under scrutiny if he bought another club with his fortune from us?

Re: Sullivan Against a Football Regulator
He maintains the government is useless at everything, coming from him quite outrageous. The government has many, many things to worry about whilst this little turd needs to just keep us in the premiership and he is making a lousy job at that. Get off your arse you prick!

Looks like he's been blown out by kretinsky, hasn't got anything lined up and is grizzling at the thought of having to shell out for regulator costs.

Yep, my first thought as well.
Kretinsky has a set PURCHASE price (£700mill?), but isn't OBLIGED to purchase. The drawrf also isn't obligated to sell his shares, but I reckon he'd chew the Czechs arm off (if he could reach it) if a possible sale was forthcoming, especially with the threat of payback to the taxman being removed on the 22nd March.
The 'Sphinx' now owns a fair portion of shares that he's (for obvious reasons, possible relegation being one of them) not that willing to expand upon at this moment in time.
Diddy Dave must be shitting himself at the thought of a sale being delayed by a year or two, with Kretinsky possibly not passing any 'fit and proper' test the Government may now impose, paving the way for a lower bid from a third party. Some of which would obviously now go to Kretinsky, being a shareholder and diluting our glorious leaders profits even further.
This may all of course, be pure conjecture on my part.

I agree with Brexit Boy. Any legally empowered oversight of shysters like Sullivan that is answerable to an elected government has got to be a good thing. Or as a minimum it can’t be bad

I don’t agree with him on many things, but I think he is right in this instance. The government will fuck it up and waste more money. Nothing will change.
